| NewsNew Head of School AnnouncedNew Head of School Announcement
The Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Mark L. Pierotti as the new Head of School, effective July 1, 2009. The Board's decision to select Mr.Pierotti as the first male Head of School at Forest Ridge followed a carefully considered recommendation by the Search Committee led by alumna Carla Elbert Lewis '75. In accepting his appointment, Mark said, “From the moment I stepped onto the Forest Ridge campus, I knew this was a great match. The overwhelmingly gracious hospitality and professionalism shown by the Search Committee, Board, faculty, staff, parents, and alumnae was outdone by only one thing—meeting the confident, intellectually curious young women who had an uncompromising and compassionate eye for what the world of tomorrow can be.”
We are delighted that Mark – who had been highly sought after for headships by several schools nationwide – elected to accept our offer to lead Forest Ridge. Our goal was to identify and recruit the best candidate available and we are thrilled to have Mark accept our invitation to join our school community. Without you, it wouldn't be possible!
As we begin our second century at Forest Ridge of educating young women through innovation, opportunity and leadership, we are reminded of the many people who have given so generously over the years. Thank you for your support which continues the work of our foundress, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, who started this mission over 200 years ago. A mission that gives girls their voice to make a difference in the world.
